About the Job
Our Client, an Automotive Seating Manufacturer company, is looking for Maintenance Technician for their Lansing, MI location
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining & supporting all equipment in JIT Production Environment and other areas as required.
- Complete all tasks, work orders, & PM's as directed by supervisor in a safe & timely manner.
- Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs.
- Perform repairs, rebuild & trouble shoot equipment to ensure production efficiencies are met.
- Daily record all line calls, work orders, PM's & work history electronically in Maintenance System.
- Complete all required and applicable training required by client.
- Must continuously improve and develop skills/knowledge.
- Complete all other tasks as requested by the Engineering Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor
- Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear.
- Maintain license to operate a Hilo, Scissor Lift and Articulating Lift
Requirements
- Experience with Robotics and PLC are a priority.
- Mechanical, Technical & Electrical Expertise (preferred)
- Journeyman’s Card -OR - 3-5 years of experience of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Be an expert with using hand tools.
- Strong experience with motors, chains and sprockets required.
- Experience in industrial automotive preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent, certification (Preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30lbs.
- Ability to safely access vertical areas via stairs or ladder
- Ability to safely climb and work on a ladder
- Ability to safely work with Power Tools
- Standing or walking 6-8 hours to assist production
- Bending, Pushing, & Pulling
