Operational since 2017 with equipment and space to grow 5 times current capacity, our 100,000 sq. ft facility has the current capacity to produce over 1 billion grids per year for automotive batteries. We use an innovative approach to lead casting with a high precision punching process to ensure quality and eliminate grid variability.
The Maintenance Technician position starts at $34.97 per hour. You will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and provide preventive maintenance services. If you have, or as you learn electrical and PLC skills, you can increase your rate of pay as a Tech II or Tech III (senior-level). This is a team based position - you will work with other maintenance technicians and operators in on our manufacturing plant floor.

ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Uses mechanic skills and familiar with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
- Position requires handling scraps materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as a hazardous waste, which are to be disposed of in appropriately marked hazardous waste containers
- Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility
- Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed
- Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
- Achieve a passing score on the pre-employment assessment
- Previous manufacturing, industrial, or military experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent, AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance a plus
2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Experience as an auto tech, from technical/trade school, construction, plumber/plumbing, factory, etc will transfer to this position (you likely have used basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.)
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel, and climb able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear a respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
