About the Job
We have an Fantastic career opportunity for a Maintenance Technician III to join a leading Company in Jacksonville, FL.
Performs general maintenance functions. Performs advanced mechanical skills. Performs advanced electrical skills including controls and PLC's follows all safety rules. Performs tasks related to the entire facility. Follows all company rules. Addition tasks as needed. Able to work overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to perform all duties of a Maintenance Tech I and II
- Maintenance Technician I:
- Performs all types of general maintenance throughout the facility
- Able to perform basic mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
- Able to perform regular PMs on-equipment
- Able to learn and use maintenance management systems
- Should have a general understanding of basic electrical (reading voltage, shock hazards, arc flash dangers, checking and replacing fuses, knowing the difference between a/c and d/c, knowing what 24v,110v,220v, and 480v are)
- Should have general knowledge of changing various parts like bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, etc.
- Performs lockout / tag-out procedures, according to OSHA and company policies
- Ability to complete all the above duties and responsibilities as part of a team as well as alone
- Able to be a team player and follow the direction of leads, supervisors, and managers
- Able to follow good housekeeping practices
- Maintenance Technician II:
- Should have extensive mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience
- Should be able to perform basic stick and wire feed welding
- Should be able to perform basic fabricating
- should be able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and general knowledge of controls
- should be able to install and move machinery
- Performs lockout / tag-out procedures, according to OSHA and company policies
- Ability to complete all the above duties and responsibilities as part of a team as well as alone
- Able to be a team player and able to follow the direction of leads, supervisors, and managers
- Able to follow good housekeeping practices
- Able to learn and use Maintenance Management systems
- Able to read blueprints
- Maintenance Technician III:
- Should have extensive mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience
- Should have extension electrical knowledge
- Should have good controls for troubleshooting
- Should be able to program various brands of drives, or have the knowledge to learn various brands and types
- Able to troubleshoot PLCs, able to hook up to PLCs, and have a good knowledge of ladder logic, able to upload and download programs, and make changes to those programs
- Able to read electrical prints
- Able to perform basic conduit and wiring skills
- Performs lockout / tag-out procedures, according to OSHA and company policies
- Ability to complete all the above duties and responsibilities as part of a team as well as alone
- Able to be a team player and able to follow the direction of leads, supervisors, and managers
- Able to follow good housekeeping practices
- Able to learn and use Maintenance Management systems
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General controls and electrical troubleshooting
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics
- Able to perform basic stick and wire feed welding
- Must be able to learn the basic functions of all plant equipment
- Must have basic knowledge of lockout tag out and proper PPE
