Job Description:
The Cleanroom Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of Cleanroom manufacturing & auxiliary equipment, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance.
The Cleanroom Maintenance Technician must also be able to perform basic construction, plumbing, and electrical work on plant facilities using hand and power tools and troubleshoot production or facilities equipment. The Senior Maintenance Technician will help lead the Cleanroom Maintenance team and provide ideas and support new initiates to drive success.
Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
Primary responsibilities are to:
Execute and monitor Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for production equipment, building, and grounds.
Troubleshoot skills in equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
Maintain records in accordance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and Protocols.
Coordinate procurement of maintenance equipment, service repair parts, and supplies as required.
Manage vendors and contractors that perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Solicit professional services as required to maintain equipment.
Provide equipment repair/replacement recommendations to management.
Troubleshoots mechanical problems and performs root cause analysis in partnership with operations and engineers to solve problems and make improvements.
Maintaining and installing all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Attending daily meetings and scheduling training workshops were required.
Performs machine shop activities.
Operates mechanical tools and equipment such as: Milling machine, Lathe machine, surface grinder, drill press, required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment.
Performing careful inventory and stock checks and placing orders for required material and equipment.
Controlling downtime by communicating with staff and implementing contingency measures.
Great mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Critical and logical thinking ability.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Good strength and stamina.
Ability to remain calm and act responsibly during emergencies.
Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
Consistently demonstrating prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician in medical manufacturing is preferable.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D. Desired: 2-year degree in industrial Maintenance or completion of apprenticeship in related field.
10+ years in manufacturing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Strong electrical background is required.
Experience in machine shop equipment such as: Milling, turning, surface grinder, drill press.
Experience in reading blueprints and schematic drawings is required.
The employee may be required to periodically lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
Tools and equipment used:
Standard hand and power tools.
Ability to use a computer to write reports using word processing (Microsoft Word), send email (Microsoft Outlook), and perform internet searches using a standard web browser (Internet Explorer), use a
telephone, fax, and copy machine as well as other general office equipment.
