Maintenance Technician I
Both positions require a 40-hour work week, typically starting between 6:00 and 7:00 AM.
Training duration depends on the individual's skill level, with an estimated one month for HVAC-specific training.
The roles are temporary, expected to last at least six months, with the potential for permanent hiring based on performance
The job may require travel to different locations such as Cambridge and Boston, typically as a team rather than individually.
Flexibility, integrity, and HVAC skills are crucial for the roles.
BASIC SUMMARY:
Perform routine daily and preventative maintenance and assist in construction and refurbishment of physical plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair, preventative maintenance and construction of physical plant and expansion projects, including basic carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation.
" Perform scheduled inspections/repairs on all facilities systems.
" Perform supply, delivery, distribution and acquisition tasks as directed.
" May perform waste vacuum maintenance.
" Participate in snow removal and ice remediation activities such as shoveling and spreading de-icing agents on walkways and parking lots, where site weather conditions necessitate.
" Assist in moving office contents within site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed.
" Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services.
" Respond to emergencies as needed. Provide 24-hour on-call maintenance coverage, as scheduled in rotation.
" Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.
" May provide guidance to less experienced/skilled utility workers.
" Perform all other related duties as assigned.
