We are in search of a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our thriving Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical equipment, PLC, circuit boards, chips, and wiring systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is seeking to apply their expertise in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of systems and equipment to identify any issues and ensure optimal performance.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to increase operational lifespan.
3. Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, circuit boards, chips, and wiring systems.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to diagnose faults or malfunctions and develop effective solutions.
5. Document all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
6. Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance job performance.
8. Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
9. Provide emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
10. Train junior technicians and share knowledge to enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Engineering industry.
2. Proven expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, PLC, circuit boards, and chips.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical wiring systems.
4. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
5. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
9. A degree in Engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
10. Certifications in PLC programming, Electrical Maintenance, or a related field will be an added advantage.
11. Must be willing to be on call for emergencies.
