Maintenance Technician - Legacy at Herington

Job Responsibilities

• Performs daily preventive maintenance of the facility.
• Maintains daily maintenance operations at the facility in compliance to all current applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Performs all building maintenance needs
• Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis
• Always exercises courtesy whenever residents, family members and visitors are present
• Demonstrates ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and by being on time to work
• Respects the privacy and dignity of residents

Job Qualifications

• Previous job experience and knowledge of Life Safety
• Must be skilled in all phases: plumbing, HVAC, grounds, construction, safety, state regulations, and preventative maintenance.
• HVAC knowledge required
• Extensive experience as maintenance technician, preferably in Long Term Care.
• Compassionate, enthusiastic, dependable person, with ability to be team leader and team player!
• Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work on deadlines
• Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors and co-workers at all times
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
