About the Job
Maintenance will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our facility and equipment. The primary focus of this role is to execute planned work orders efficiently, make unplanned repairs to increase mean time between failure, and foster clear communication among team members.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute planned maintenance task on equipment and systems according to the Maintenance schedule.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
- Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to optimize work order schedules and prioritize task.
- Make repairs as found on PM to help achieve goal of 80% or work orders to be planned.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
Technical knowledge:
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of the specific equipment or machinery in the facility.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify and fix issues effectively.
Problem-Solving skills:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Work proactively to identify potential problems and address them before they escalate.
- Implement PM’s where/when needed on equipment to mitigate down time.
Budget Awareness:
- Help keep facility and equipment-related expense below $0.50 Per Square foot, ensuring cost effectiveness in maintenance operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising the quality and efficiency of maintenance activities.
- Monitor and report budget variances, providing recommendations for improvement.
Communication:
- Establish and maintain open and effective communication channels with all team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities that may impact overall operations.
- Clearly communicate maintenance schedules, updates, and any issues to relevant stakeholders.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment status.
- Report back on completed task, ongoing projects, and any deviations from planned maintenance.
