Continental Shift (Nights) Maintenance Technician opportunity available in Anderson and Greer, SC with an automotive client in their assembly or injection molding departments.
Starting pay: $32-34/hr plus $1/hr shift differential
Location: Greer, SC and Anderson, SC
Shift: continental nights 6p-6a, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off
Status of Hire: full-time, direct
Currently working: 6 days/week
MISSION: To repair and maintain the machinery and facility as needed
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
• Weld and fabricate all modifications
• Make all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance checks for equipment
• Keep equipment clean and dust free
• Assist Automation Tech with needed repairs
• Apply 5 “S” Standards to all equipment
• Attend all classes and training required
• Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated electrical, electronic transmission testing and control equipment, single or 3 phase up to maximum voltage used in plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair any type of electrical or electronic trouble with switchboards, test boards, motors, starters, switches, circuits and controls
• Install conduit and wiring for electrical circuits, piping for pneumatic or hydraulic systems
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns to electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment in the plant.
• Keep up with existing changes in National Electrical code
• Operate a variety of power tools including grinders, drill presses, saws-all.
• Assure all equipment is properly lubricated and maintained
• Troubleshoot and diagnose repairs on all equipment
• Assist maintenance technicians in other groups as required
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC’s – Allen Bradley/Siemens
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics systems
• Troubleshoot and repair injection large tonnage molding machines – Husky/Engel
• Troubleshoot and repair 6-Axis robots – Kuka/ABB/Fanuc
• Troubleshoot and repair automated assembly equipment – ultrasonic welding/punching applications
• Troubleshoot and repair paint systems
• Basic facility maintenance and repairs
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
• HS Diploma or GED
• 5 years experience or Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics/Electricity or maintenance related fields
• Strong background in injection molding and/or automated assembly equipment maintenance and repair
• Strong background in troubleshooting and light programming of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
• Good communication skills
• Microsoft Office fluency (Excel and Word)
