Maintenance Technician at Ronin Staffing, LLC

Assignment Length: contract for 6 months, possibility of extension or conversion to full-time depending on attendance and performance
Hours: 2nd shift 1pm – 9:30pm Monday through Friday

3 must haves:      

• HS/GED or technical school and 3-5 years related and current industrial experience or training or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school or 2-4 years related experience
•  Previous experience with Pumps, Motor/gearboxes, Gears, sprockets, and bearings and/or experience or knowledge of 3 phase 480v single phase 120v PLC knowledge or experience is A PLUS
• Must be able to complete the client's onboarding process along with being medically certified to wear a respirator

Job Summary:
Installs, maintains, and repairs plant machinery and mechanical equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Makes new installations of mechanical equipment to comply with safety and code requirements.
•Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
•Plans mechanical work to be performed from written or verbal information.
•Establish requirements, perform, and document preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
•Troubleshoots and determines root causes of equipment failures.
•Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
•Makes necessary repairs of mechanical equipment in compliance with safety and code requirements.
•Collect and analyze data to predict overhaul or replacement of mechanical equipment.
•Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
•Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
•Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
•Starts devices to test their performance.
•Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
•Determines and orders materials required to complete tasks. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Repairs electrical equipment as required.
•Must work with other crafts personnel, factory team members, and facility engineers in a team environment.
