Maintenance Technician at Micro Tech

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation of our extrusion production process and plant facilities. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain work logs and documentation for repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair extrusion machinery using mechanical and electrical skills.
• Install and maintain production machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret manuals, work orders, and schematics to complete tasks.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test systems for functionality.
• Perform basic plumbing as needed.
• Use hand/power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely.
• Report faulty operations and defective materials for corrective action.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain organized work areas.

Experience and Skills:

• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and VFDs.
• Skilled in precision maintenance tasks.
• Experienced in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Oxy-Acetylene welding for repairs.
• Hands-on experience with pumps and gearboxes.
• Familiar with 5S methodology for workspace organization.

Education and Certifications:

• Proficient in using CMMS.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3+ years in industrial maintenance.
• CMRP certification a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and valves.

Qualification Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs periodically.
• Ability to stand and perform physical labor.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and perform physical activities.
