Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician will install, repair, and maintain equipment and facilities

Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
* Try out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
* Collaborate with Machine Builders to ensure successful build of automated machines and equipment from blueprints.
* Assisting in sub-assembly of tooling and fixtures.
* Record operational data, such as pressure readings, length of stroke, feeds and speeds for use in set-up and preventive maintenance records or program.
* Participate in Production workshops to support continuous improvement: propose and implement continuous productivity, process and quality improvement actions.
* Give advice on technical specifications of new equipment and alterations on existing.equipment and facilities, making sure manufacturing, maintainability and EHS requirements are met.
* Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company.

Specific Knowledge & Skills
* Machine Builder experience preferred
* Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity which require an extensive knowledge of fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines and equipment
* Electro-mechanics and automation skills
* Print reading ability for core proficiency..(Electrician or Mechanic)
* Working knowledge of Quality system and EHS skills
* Strong technical problem solving skills
* Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work in a matrix organization

Physical Requirement
* Excessive standing, walking, bending, stopping, squatting, sitting, climbing, twisting, repetitive motion.
* Lifting products, equipment, packages or miscellaneous items up to thirty (30) pounds unassisted and fifty (50) pounds with assistance.
* Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools
