Overview:

We are looking for an entry-level Maintenance person with basic mechanical concepts, who is highly motivated, and detail-oriented to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer!  This individual performs in various shifts am, pm, or overnight on-call as needed. He performs various basic maintenance trade functions such as preventative maintenance of the resort/hotel. You will be working closely with different team members, so you must be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your role:

• Performs basic general maintenance of pool equipment.
• Make repairs to plumbing fixtures, piping, and drains.
• Ensures daily pool cleanliness and conducts proper pool maintenance to standards.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintains logs on completed tasks via the electronic work order system.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Minimum (6) months experience working in the service industry, i.e. hotels, apartment buildings, condominiums, and Hospital environments preferred.

• MUST have experience in basic pool maintenance, Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred. Or obtain a CPO certificate within 6 months of hire.
• Bilingual in communication preferred not required.
• Able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance; able to push, pull without assistance , and pull up to 200 lbs. 
• Able to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often overhead.

 

Please be advised, we are a large full-service hotel and as such this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity on a continuous basis, up to and including entire shifts.
