Location: Eagan, Minnesota
The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, performing PM's on forklifts, air compressors and fabrication machinery, and maintaining grounds by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives requests for maintenance from internal customers and creates work orders.
- Triage requests and schedule maintenance on various equipment including; fabrication machinery, forklifts, and other production equipment.
- Repair equipment and conduct perform preventative maintenance and maintain PM logs/audits.
- Test and operate equipment following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- General maintenance and/or building work stations, racking, or tooling to increase safety and/or production efficiency.
- Prior knowledge of CNC machines; Lathes, Mills, Punches, Press Brakes, etc.
- Coordinates with contractors for PM services and other outside repairs.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Technical Certification in maintenance or related industry
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
- Reliable and dependable attendance.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Safety First attitude.
- Physical requirements include frequent reaching, gripping and carrying up to 50 lbs., plus frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.
- Electrical and computer skills required.
- Electrical knowledge, previous, preferred
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors, preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 50 - 80lbs, should also be able to work at some heights on ladders and scissor lift to 26 feet. Safety glasses and steel toe shoes required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
