Summary:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To set up, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production quality and safety on this equipment.
For maximal production efficiently projects include:- Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment
- Able to plan for and take corrective action on related problems found
- Able to maintain maximum production and quality by making correct adjustments
- Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing changes over equipment to new sizes
- Test equipment to check operations
- Able to perform scheduled maintenance
- Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment
- Reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action
- Repair and diagnose problems with support equipment such as cranes, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and HVAC
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, blueprints
- Ability to effectively present information management
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 or more years experience in injection molding as a maintenance technician
- High school diploma preferred
- Two year technical degree a plus
