About the Job
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment in an industrial setting. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to assess the condition of equipment and determine the need for maintenance or repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize repairs based on production schedules.
- Assist in the installation, relocation, or modification of equipment as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in industrial technology and maintenance techniques through training and professional development opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery such as conveyors, motors, pumps, and compressors.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to respond to emergencies or support production schedules.
