Seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital to maintaining production machines and electrical systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with production specifications and quality standards. The technician will analyze and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, while ensuring the plant’s electrical systems provide power to machines, equipment, lighting, and other applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics, engineering prints, and manuals, following both written and verbal instructions.
- Install and maintain the plant’s electrical systems, ensuring power for machines, equipment, and lighting, in line with engineering specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems switches, valves, and gears.
- Use test instruments to verify circuit compatibility and safety, ensuring correct performance and operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including safe operation of tools, forklifts, hoists, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Work in confined spaces and elevated areas to perform repairs and analysis as needed.
- Perform installation, start-up, and repairs for production machinery.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure tasks align with company policies and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Vocational or high school graduate with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
- Understanding of AC/DC control circuits, including single-phase and three-phase motor controls.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with VFD Motor Controllers and PLCs.
- Ability to perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Strong math skills, including an understanding of fractions.
- Excellent attention to detail, dexterity, and visual acuity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
