MAINTENANCE Professional - Job Description
Stark Living is seeking a full-time, experienced Maintenance Professionals of all levels to join our Maintenance Teams. Join our resident-focused and top-of-class management teams at one of our communities across the Greater Cleveland and Akron areas.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Timely completion of work orders
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance and HVAC repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance of units, grounds, and amenities
- Make ready apartments with attention to detail
- Grounds & general labor duties as assigned
- Conduct daily community walk and inspection to ensure community standards are being met. Report safety hazards, damage, security concerns, or any other concerns to Supervisor/Property Manager.
- Communicate with Property Manager and front of house team when appropriate
- Work with outside vendors to facilitate completion of work, communicating expectations and following up upon completion
- Add value to maintenance department by fulfilling individual role in community’s Maintenance Program
- Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies when scheduled
- Assist with contract services vendors when necessary (custodial, landscaping, waste management… etc.)
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure highest level of resident satisfaction
- Perform all other applicable duties as assigned
Maintenance Supervisor responsibilities expand upon the above noted responsibilities. The primary duties of the Maintenance Supervisor is to oversee and ensure all aspects of the maintenance department and team. A more detailed description of this role is available to those interested.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in property maintenance or related field
- Supervisor Role: Previous Supervisor/Management experience required, preferably in property management or a related field.
- Basic-to-Intermediate skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC and other service-related fields are preferred
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and dependable
- Physical ability to lift and operate heavy equipment/materials
Additional Information:
- Emergency on-call responsibility rotated weekly
- Dress code varies by community – branded clothing provided
Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must have a High School Diploma
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation
- Applicable trade certification(s) preferred
