Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

· Daily assessment and maintenance of equipment covering the following areas:

o Punch press, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Assembly, Tool Room, Lathe/Machining Department

· Disassembles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.

· Electrical – understand electrical schematics to make equipment repairs

· Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager.

· Completes assigned projects covering general repairs in above mentioned areas

· Participates in the coordination and movement of plant equipment.

· Provides support to OEM mechanics, electricians, and technicians on equipment installation, maintenance, or repair.

· Safety - verify that the manufacturing equipment does not pose employee hazards.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

· Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must have valid NY driver’s license and forklift operator’s certification.

· Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and their repairs.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

· The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of equipment or personnel.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Benefits of Working With Us

· Salary for New York Based Applicants: $25.00 - $35.00 an hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).

· Weekly Pay

· This is an Hourly position with overtime available

· After 90 days, this position will be eligible for benefits through the IBEW, Local 3 Union

· Based in Bronx, New York
