We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician (Auto/Diesel) to join our team in Mt. Iron, MN. Auto/Diesel Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automotive and diesel equipment.
- Conduct thorough equipment troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain and repair facility systems, including hydraulics and pipefitting.
- Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in training new staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Auto/Diesel Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Proven experience in equipment troubleshooting and facilities maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Experience with hydraulics and pipefitting techniques.
- Familiarity with machine safety inspections and compliance standards.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Auto/Diesel Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing and/or industrial experience (including relevant experience gained in military service) or equivalent education. This includes experience in any of the following: hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, and diesel mechanic.
- High School Diploma or GED
- The position requires you to work rotating shifts, which will include Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
- The position requires overtime work as needed.
- Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and boots with metatarsal protection.
- The position requires punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction for the success of the operations.
- Must pass assessment test(s)
- This is a safety sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing
