Our ideal Maintenance Technician will have:
- 1 to 3 years building maintenance experience in a similar environment or equivalent training and/or experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must possess own basic hand tools and power drill/driver
- Knowledge of all hand and power tools, cleaning supplies, and protective equipment
- Good mechanical and mathematical ability. Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Weekend availability
- Must be available for after-hours on-call rotation, and emergency service call duties. Must be able to respond within 15-20 minutes.
Our Maintenance Technician will:
- Conduct property inspections to ensure that all maintenance and/or safety issues are documented and addressed. Report all problems and/or issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Complete work order and after hours on call requests in accordance with components
- Assist daily in maintaining the exterior of the properties to always provide clean and aesthetic curb appeal
- Repair/replace lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, wiring, etc. Knowledge and experience with using diagnostic devices to determine the nature and defect of electrical services
- Repair/replace plumbing fixtures, drains, supply lines, faucets, arms, etc. Knowledge and experience with using drain snake equipment to clear clogged drains.
- Installation, repair and finishing drywall, as well as minor painting.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems and hot water tanks.
- Complete work order and after hours on call requests in accordance with components.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of common areas, hallways, stairwells, trach chutes and grounds maintenance which includes snow removal from walkways, parking lots and buildings.
- Prepares vacant apartments for occupancy by performing all necessary repairs.
