Position Summary
This position is empowered by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to deliver the highest quality customer service and provide an unmatched level of personal attention to residents. Our Maintenance Technicians have the opportunity to address and respond to our resident's service needs and are instrumental in maintaining the facility operations at their community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide direct support to our Maintenance Supervisor
- Utilize your troubleshooting skills to respond to a wide variety of residential service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare apartment homes for rent by performing various repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, building exteriors, and appliances
- Ensure that any unresolved maintenance issues or concerns are reported to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas
- Performing regular preventive maintenance
- Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Required education: High school degree or equivalent
- Experience repairing plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, HVAC and appliances
- Dedication to exceeding the needs of all customers with an ability to build and maintain relationships
- Demonstrate thoroughness, accuracy, and organization when accomplishing tasks
- Ability to work on-call hours
- Effective at prioritizing multiple demands and meeting deadlines
- Proactive team player; reliable and responsive
- A natural problem solver; decisive and can work independently

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
