Maintenance Technician
A Maintenance Technician performs ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on equipment for multiple restaurants. Duties include fixing or repairing a variety of items which could include but is not limited to building, carpentry, tiling, painting, and kitchen equipment. A technician will have oversight on the overall efficient operation of buildings and equipment in compliance with safety standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage maintenance and repair needs for /- ten restaurants. 80%
- Support the creation and implementation of reactive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Communicate with the store management teams to minimize service disruptions.
- Ensure all equipment and facility aspects are operating as designed.
- When needed, assist with access requirements for vendors providing services to the restaurants.
- Support the coordination of equipment installs resulting from special projects.
- Perform regular inspections of all assigned restaurants and report on the condition of equipment and property, as well as maintenance status.
- When needed, inspect the work performed by outside contractors in assigned stores.
- Assist in store openings, special events, and fairs as needed
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of invoices, maintenance logs, and any other pertinent administrative paperwork and documentation. 10%
- Part inventory and tool management
Support and monitor the response systems for emergencies including nights and weekends to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions. 10%
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- The ability to communicate effectively and provide direction and troubleshooting when needed
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance. Willingness to learn new skills in all areas of kitchen equipment and building maintenance.
- Ability and willingness to travel to all restaurants with the company. Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance required.
- Must have the ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issues that arise during or outside business hours.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- Specialized training in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience working in a fast-paced multi- facility environment. Maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities preferred.
Good verbal and written communication.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Restaurant:This position operates in multiple different restaurant environments. May work inside the building with guests and other employees present, may work alone before or after normal
operation hours, may work outside in variable weather conditions.
Warehouse: Regular visits to warehouse and storage facility where the climate is reasonably controlled but can experience more extreme temperatures. Contains commercial restaurant equipment,
chemicals, lubricants, and tools. Space may be limited and confined.
