Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and emergency maintenance requirements on; Electric Controls, Electric Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyor Systems, and Welding Machines. Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities:- Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic equipment, and welding equipment.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
- Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
- Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
- Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.
- Maintain parts and tools inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
- Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and equipment needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure, rules, and regulation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required
- Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance
- Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
- Understanding of electrical systems and PLC’s
- Comfortable with computers
- Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred
- Understanding of PLC’s and field device such as but not limited to photo eyes, proximity sensors, and transducers.
- Experience with stepper motors and drives.
- Familiar with Fanuc Robotics systems.
- Advance technical or college training.
