The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation/start-up and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds-the objective being to maximize production and functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds and equipment.

Pay Range: $31 to $35 per hour (based on experience).
What You Will Do:
* Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
* Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment
* Plans and performs work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
* Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.
* Observes devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems
* Performs skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems.
* Installs and prepares equipment for startup, as required
* Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices
* Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
* Quality of work meets best equipment engineering and maintenance practices
* Work closely with all shift peers and production team members
* Responsible for housekeeping in work area
What You Will Need:
* 4-6 years proven experience with PLC’s familiar with Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic and control systems, reading electrical schematics, building functioning controls panels/systems (electrical).
* 4-6 years proven experience with manufacturing mechanical systems including; Hydraulic systems, low and high pressure pumps, open and closed loop piping systems and the ability to troubleshoot existing mechanical systems and prepare scope of work for installation of new systems (mechanical).
* 5 years experience plus advanced knowledge and background in HVAC, manufacturing equipment and industrial electrical systems. Technical skills needed to build, program, integrate, service, maintain and operate PLC’s used in an automated manufacturing plant.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* An Associates degree (AAS) or equivalent from a two-year technical school studying applied trades or 4-6 years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
