Genesis10 is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician 1st shift with our client in the manufacturing industry in their San Antonio, TX location.
Work Schedule: 1st shift- Monday- Thursday and the shift can start anywhere from 4:30am to 6:30am rotating groups on Mandatory OT (weekends) at least one time a month.
Compensation: $29.50 - 37.25 per hour.
A colorblind / Physical Fit test will be required for the onboarding of maintenance candidates in San Antonio. Our client will provide cotton shirts / hats / pants.

Responsibilities:
- Performs overall general and preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical components of production equipment.
- Demonstrate overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
- Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, paint and engine fluid process control systems, roll formers, plasma cutters and resistance and MIG welding equipment along
- with other electro-mechanical equipment.
- Breakdown; clean; rebuild, troubleshoot, and repair the following types of equipment:pumps, air motors, welders, fluid power systems, gear drives, heavy industrial machinery and controls.
- Daily application of mechanical/electrical aptitude and skills to solve production related problems.
- Rebuild various equipment based on written and oral instruction
- Work with maintenance organization to resolve open issues
- Diagnose equipment failures at the system and component levels.
- Work with the team leaders to perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of experience in maintenance related field
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of and graduation from the Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program.
- Must have organization skills, effective communication skills with both technical and professional staff
- Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per day):
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
- Climb using both legs and arms
- Head/neck movement
- Reach outward or above the shoulder
- Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
- Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers, both hands
- Use of vibrating tools
- Depth perceptions required
- Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
- Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases,solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
- Possess a working knowledge of 480 volt, 277 volt, 240 volt, 208 volt and 120/24 volt systems with the ability to implement these voltages, including routing of all conduitand wires installing breaker panels, disconnects, transformers, lighting, etc. and performing terminations without supervision.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components
- PLC experience
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety requirements related to hazardous, flammable,and explosive materials and environments.
- Ability to self-manage work priorities.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions on all industrial systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Ability to work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
- Knowledge of INFOR and MTTR
- Ability to specify the needed parts for equipment or process failures.
