What you’ll be doing
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
- Availability to work on an on-call basis and adjust schedule as needed to meet the needs of the program(s) in all weather conditions.
- Perform routine building and maintenance as outlined by work orders and supervisor, may be back up to the Grounds Technician.
- Perform routine, semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including:
- Dry walling
- Painting
- Basic electrical repair
- Basic plumbing repair
- Basic carpentry
- General repairs
- Mechanical repairs
- Maintain an inventory of an ordering of maintenance supplies. Also responsible to maintain maintenance equipment.
- Maintain detailed field notes as needed in working and completing tasks/work orders.
- Report to supervisor any problems in the areas of safety, housekeeping, and facility maintenance.
- Provide 24-hour pager coverage as outlined by supervisor.
- Maintain familiarity with licensing, health code, Fire Marshall, CARF and Hope Network Behavioral Health Services/Hope Network safety standards.
- Report all noted repair needs to the supervisor of maintenance.
- Special Project work and other duties as assigned.
Addendum for Essential Functions if Applicable for multiple departments:
- Pro-active problem-solving skills and advance maintenance techniques to prevent equipment malfunction.
- Ability to design and follow through on preventative maintenance programs including recording of appropriate records.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED Certificate
- Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Hope Network policy; ability to travel independently in assigned areas.
- Carpentry experience.
- Electrical & plumbing experience.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- Working knowledge of vendor relations, contacts and maintenance tasks.
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities preferred but not required.
- Project management skills.
