Full-time Maintenance Mechanic II– 2nd Shift
The Good Bread Company is a wholesale bread manufacturer. We are looking for energetic, dedicated people that care about the quality of product that they create.
This is a position that requires prior experience.
What you’ll do
Repairing equipment safely and effectively, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and minimizing equipment downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs PM (Preventative Maintenance) according to specified procedures.
· Documents work performed in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.
· Installs, replaces or changes machine parts and attachments in coordination with production
· Assures sanitary conditions of the equipment following the SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure) for each machine.
· Sets up and operates machines and adjusts controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
· Observes mechanical operation to detect malfunctions and assures machinery safety procedures.
· Installs and/or repairs mechanical wiring and electrical and electronic components.
· Accurately, thoroughly and promptly logs all work completed.
· Performs facility maintenance tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.
In addition, the Tech will also:
Be responsible for purchase orders (POs) when needed.
Have the self-sufficiency to make repair and maintenance decisions independently by utilizing best judgement.
The ability to issue PM work orders.
Use proactive and preventative maintenance techniques.
Have an eye for diagnostics and a keen sense of where to look to find operation errors.
Have working knowledge of PLC.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience working with mechanical equipment required.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate cooperative behaviors such as effective communication with others and showing respect for others at all times.
- Demonstrated history of reliability in attendance and consistency in performing job duties required.
- Must demonstrate ability to follow standard procedures, with excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Nice to have:
- Vocational-technical certification or training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, facilities maintenance and/or bakery or food production equipment is preferred.
- Ability to teach and develop team mates.
- Flexibility in hours to cover occasional time off requests from teammates.
- Maintenance experience in food manufacturing and/or food packaging industry desired.
Second Shift, 4:00pm-12:30am
Salary info:
$28 - $30 / hr
