Maintenance or Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY
- Under the direction of leadership, perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations, and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment, and machinery
- Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to; hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
- Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
- Prioritize jobs, monitor yield variances.
- Ensure that appropriate records, work instructions, and prints are maintained.
- Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.)
- Responsible for the quality of own work
- Follow schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices
- Collaborate with other departments and team members (engineers, management etc…) to address operational needs effectively
- Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department
- Actively participates on the safety committee
- Experience in welding and fabrication.
- Any/all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Average level of computer literacy.
- Capable of using all required hand tools.
- Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Prior Fork truck experience or willing to acquire certification
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment maintenance department
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to frequently lift materials and products up to 30 pounds and an occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequest use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment.
- Monderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping and grasping.
