The Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of production machines and equipment, as well as plant facilities.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of production machines and equipment, as well as plant facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to identify malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines to access problem areas.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear or misalignment.
- Start machines to test operation following repair.
- Remove, repair, or replace broken parts using hand or power tools.
- Set up and operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
- Identify problems with automated equipment using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and make necessary program changes.
- Develop and perform preventive maintenance programs.
- Diagnose and replace faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Clean and lubricate machinery parts.
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment.
Non-negotiable Requirements:
- Must be able to work a rotating shift.
- Must have PLC knowledge for troubleshooting (not programming)
- Basic electrical skills are essential.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with a variety of PLCs.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school desirable.
- Three years of combined experience in electrical plant maintenance, equipment maintenance, and general mechanical maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in use and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Ability to read technical procedures, safety regulations, and mechanical/electrical drawings.
- Mathematical skills including basic algebra and geometry.
- Strong reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
