About the Job
First Choice Health Centers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility maintenance, groundskeeping, and general upkeep across multiple sites. This individual will be responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and functional spaces for our staff and patients. This role covers a range of maintenance services, from basic repairs to emergency inspections, and occasional support for courier and housekeeping tasks. This position is in East Hartford, CT with travel to additional sites.
Status: Part time working approximately 24 hours per week

- Primarily Monday through Friday schedule starting as early as 7:30am.
- The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $22/hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to related work experience, certifications, etc.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Communication (written and verbal)
- Computer (Work Ticketing System/ Work Order Queue experience preferred)
- Attention to detail and organization
Experience and Training:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Specialized training in trades such as HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work is desired but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year Maintenance experience
Standard Job Duties:
- Installs, repairs, and replaces plumbing components such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and toilet mechanisms.
- Repair and improve facility interiors and exteriors including ceilings, walls, doors, windows, floors, parking lots, sidewalks, steps, and landscape.
- Complete and document inspections for Emergency Management and Fire Safety Systems.
- Occasionally assist with courier functions when courier is absent or additional support is needed.
- Occasionally assist with housekeeping functions when housekeeping staff is absent or additional support is needed.
- Ensures grounds are kept tidy and free of debris and/or hazards
- Assist LMT with moves and deliveries of office furniture and equipment such as desks, chairs, file cabinets, tables, refrigerators, and supplies.
