Maintenance Supervisors - All Shifts
Days 6am to 330pm
Mids 2pm to 1130pm
Nights 10pm to 730am
Depending on production schedules may be required to work every other Saturday
Job objectives
Maintain the general operation and safety of production equipment and ensure the timely start-up of production on a daily basis. Successfully distribute the work order system and follow up on completion of tasks. Create and implement a grease and preventative maintenance schedule and become well versed in NH3 and be able to operate the system in all phases. Assist management in organizing, planning and implementing departmental needs.
Summary of essential job functions
- Engage in maintenance related activities.
- Visually inspect production equipment and remodeling projects and complete repairs and renovations.
- Train and mentor new and existing maintenance personnel.
- Distribute work orders and follow on completion.
- Coordinate daily service operations and communicate to the Assistant Manager and/or Manager (change over processes, work orders, preventative maintenance completion).
- Track progress of weekly, monthly quarterly and annual objectives.
- Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure programs in place are functioning correctly.
- Supervisor and ensure employees are adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Act as department liaison, communicating between management and department employees.
Minimum requirements
- Basic math skills, including multiplication and division.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as job demands.
- Must have own basic hand tools and box to lock them in.
- Prior related experience, 3 years practical preferred.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize.
Abilities required
- Must have a competent knowledge of use of power tools, hand tools and maintenance techniques.
- Must be able to accomplish heavy labor projects as needed, including moving heavy equipment or parts up to 50 pounds.
- Must have knowledge of safe use of ladders and elevated platform devices.
- Must comply with all safety requirements and regulations, including PPE and lock out/tag out.
- Measure and plot material sizes and needs with standard measuring devices (rulers and tapes).
- Be able to follow detailed instructions.
- Work well with others.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair a work order system.
- Must be able to fill out a work order form.
