Maintenance Supervisor – Metals Recycling – Base Salary to 150k/year – Boston, MA
- Our client, one of the largest Metals Recyclers in North America, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure safe, cost effective operations of all mobile equipment throughout the yard. This role will be responsible for prioritizing & scheduling work assignments, assessing repairs and supervising work quality.
- In this role, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance and maintenance personnel within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe environment for all employees, customers and visitors in the yard
- Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority, equipment & personnel
- Develop, Monitor & Evaluate Maintenance Policies & Procedures
- Examine systems & facilities to determine needed installations, services or repairs
- Compile reports on operations- time and production records, inventory data, repair & maintenance stats
- Track Customer Satisfaction
- Cross-functional communication to formulate goals & objectives, procedures & policies
- Manages the work of direct reports to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor, Negotiate & Adjust contracts, leases, expenses or agreements associated with maintenance
- Monitor Department Spending, Ensure Expenses are Consistent with Approved Budget
- Strategic Responses to External Influences such as DOT & OSHA
- Interviews prospective employees
- Conducts performance reviews for direct reports
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of Heavy Industrial Work Experience
- Previous Experience as Supervisor or Manager
- Knowledge of fabrication, tools, maintenance of heavy equipment/parts, & repair
- Previous Exposure to working with a Union Environment is a Plus
- Interpret technical materials in books, manuals, etc
Compensation: Total compensation for this role is comprised of a base salary up to 150k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
