Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of technicians, ensuring that equipment, machinery, and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, planning preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinating repairs to support smooth production processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in manufacturing, and experience managing maintenance programs.
Job Type: Full Time (45-50hrs/week), On-Site
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to maintain optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure timely availability for repairs and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, conducting regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services as needed.
- Provide input on capital improvement projects, upgrades, and equipment acquisitions to enhance operational performance.
Requirements of the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Minimum 3-5+ years of Maintenance and Facility Management experience
- Experienced working in a Manufacturing/Production environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CMMS software and other maintenance management tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations relevant to manufacturing.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed and work in a physically demanding environment.
