Are you a skilled professional with a knack for problem-solving, a deep understanding of mechanical systems, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards? If so, we are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of our high-tech machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and performance.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
4. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance department.
5. Maintain an inventory of all equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
6. Collaborate with other department heads to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
7. Monitor and control maintenance costs, striving for efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements, implementing new strategies and technologies as appropriate.
9. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to quality control standards, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
10. Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to maintenance staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing.
3. Comprehensive mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand and work with complex machinery and equipment.
4. Strong understanding and commitment to quality control and safety compliance.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and perform under pressure.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
8. Proficient in the use of computer software programs related to maintenance management.
9. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
10. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a manufacturing environment.
