We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Operations team. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all maintenance activities; managing personnel; creating and carrying out planned preventative maintenance; creating and maintaining critical spare parts lists and working with local vendors to maintain required inventory of spare parts. The position is also responsible for contacting and managing subcontractors and collaborating with the Engineering Department and Production all while considering internal and external requirements for safety, cost, quality, and local regulations. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in all technical aspects of the job duties described within.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Safety:
• Responsible for supporting creation and maintenance of a safe work environment for all employees, in accordance with Company policy and local regulations.
• Ensure required PPE is worn at all times.
• Ensure all safety related maintenance activities are treated as a priority.
Maintenance & Spare Parts Management:
• Ensure all Preventative maintenance activities are documented, scheduled, and executed utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); experience with “Mainstream” a plus.
• Assesses and repairs equipment such as heat tunnels, pump and filling equipment, box erector, forklift, and pallet jacks.
• Communicate with department leaders (Production planning, quality, etc.) planning for maintenance.
• Overall Training and Supervision of 2nd shift Assistant Mechanic.
• Effective collaboration and communication with Global Maintenance Engineer and Global Ops Engineering Lead.
• Active participation in weekly Maintenance Forum.
• Source local vendors and work with Operations Coordinator for new vendor setup and Purchase order creation.
• Maintains building/facility needs such as painting, cleaning, fire/safety equipment, lightbulb changes and other general facility needs.
• Assist with training and development of filling production line operators and Production Team Leads with line parameters, settings, and efficiency improvements.
Other:
· Proficient knowledge and ability to work with pressure relief valves, pneumatics & hydraulics.
· Reports deviations from quality standards immediately to the quality department and/or management.
· Document and analyze trends of scheduled and unscheduled downtime (KPI’s).
· Assist with the development/update of Factory Procedures and Work Instructions.
· Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Expertise Requirements:
• 5+ years of mechanical experience required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Previous experience in Food & Beverage industry a plus.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be available for shift, weekend assignments and on-call.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Forklift certification preferred, recertification or initial certification can be completed when hired.
• Experience and knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of electricity in an industrial basis a plus.
• Certified for working at heights a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC SW a plus.
• Previous experience with high pressure liquid or gas a plus.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and teamwork attitude.
