This dynamic position requires a hands-on individual who is proficient in a wide variety of skills, ranging from troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment to understanding and adhering to OSHA rules and regulations. Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Supervising, organizing, and reviewing the work of maintenance staff, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
2. Selecting, training, and evaluating staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to carry out their duties.
3. Troubleshooting and maintaining machinery, including electrical and electronic troubleshooting equipment, milling and metal fabrication equipment, heavy equipment, and office equipment.
4. Adapting to changing technologies and understanding the functionality of new equipment and systems.
5. Establishing work priorities and schedules, planning and organizing tasks, and estimating man hour allocation and staffing needs.
6. Coordinating staff training and implementing discipline procedures.
7. Confering with area supervisors, addressing any issues and working together to find solutions.
8. Maintaining storage areas and work areas, ensuring they are kept in neat, safe, and secure conditions.
9. Adhering to all pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
10. Ensuring all work safety requirements are met and maintained.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, such as Maintenance Manager or Building Maintenance Supervisor.
2. Proficiency in GMAW Welding and Programmable logic controls.
3. Strong understanding of electrical codes, methods, and techniques.
4. Experience with repairing, installing, and troubleshooting plant equipment.
5. Familiarity with janitorial painting and repair procedures.
6. Proficiency in using computers and software applications.
7. Ability to work with electronic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
8. Strong knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
9. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities, plan work schedules, and meet deadlines.
10. Strong leadership skills and the ability to select, train, and evaluate staff.
11. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and understand the functionality of new equipment and systems.
12. Excellent communication skills and the ability to confer with area supervisors and staff.
13. Strong knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
