The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordination of facility maintenance with outside vendors and performing maintenance repairs. This position would be inspecting work performed in assigned building/property(s) and submitting reports to the Director of Operations. Position may be indoors to maintain the interior of the facility, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for ensuring all preventative, emergent and janitorial maintenance activities are completed and documented in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks to the maintenance team members appropriately, based on skills, experience and availability.
- Complete employee reviews and timecards. Work together with HR and the Director of Operations to address performance development opportunities and deficiencies in the maintenance team.
- Ensure all members of the maintenance team are properly trained according to company policies.
- Ensure all public areas of the facility are kept clean, organized and in good working order.
- Communicates with outside service and maintenance companies to facilitate needed repairs and keep facility in good working order. These vendors include, but may not be limited to HVAC, Alarm, Fire/Sprinkler systems, key card access, dock leveler repair, landscaping, pest control and other maintenance contractors as needed.
- Responsible for maintenance items such as replacing light bulbs, minor paint touch up, replacing ceiling tiles, keeping building hardscapes clean and free of obstructions, etc.
- Informs purchasing department of needed supplies.
- Responsible for oversight and ownership of Preventative Maintenance managing software Maintain X.
- Strong knowledge or willingness to learn FANUC robot/automation.
- Assists in emergency cleaning.
- Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
- Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
- Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas and vendors.
- Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.
- Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies.
- Ensures that security procedures are always adhered to.
- Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Maintains working relationship with building staff.
- Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
- Any other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- 5+ years of previous facility maintenance experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
