Maintenance Supervisor/Manager - Pax Properties

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our team and ensure our facilities continue to meet the highest standards.

Position Overview: As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance operations within the apartment complex. You will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating repair and maintenance activities, and ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and in excellent condition. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in property maintenance and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Maintenance Oversight: Oversee daily maintenance operations, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Facility Upkeep: Ensure all buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including ordering supplies and managing expenses.
• Emergency Response: Handle emergency maintenance requests and ensure prompt resolution.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers.
• Resident Relations: Address resident maintenance requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• On-Call Availability: Must be available for emergency maintenance requests seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address urgent issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar role, preferably in property management or multi-unit housing.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Certifications in HVAC or plumbing are preferred, but not required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to resolving maintenance issues.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications preferred.
