About the Job
Position Overview:
- The Maintenance Technician is to prioritize and perform maintenance services inclusive of the full range of custodial duties related to the exterior care, maintenance, and aesthetic upkeep of the resort.
- Minimum two (2) years as a Maintenance Supervisor with responsibilities of managing direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains, repairs and operates Resort machinery, equipment and related systems.
- Supervises all maintenance areas and departmental personnel.
- Maintains the entire building, inside and out.
- Develop and implement cost reduction, work simplification, and method improvement programs.
- Prepares and/or evaluates designs and specifications for all projects both in-house and contractors.
- Supervises the installation and construction of all work. Submits daily and/or periodic progress reports to the General Manager.
- Analyzes the operating budget on at least a monthly basis to determine variances and be able to explain/account for those variances. Additionally, must be proactive in reducing negative variances and or take necessary steps to mitigate future variances.
- Confers with landscape consultants regarding Resort beautification. Implements beautification programs with the General Manager.
- Evaluates all maintenance leases, contracts and bids. Submits recommendations to the General Manager for approval.
- Sees that all maintenance installations, constructions and operations comply with Resort and government agencies.
- Responsible for all hiring, termination and disciplinary action of Maintenance staff.
- Controls all Resort keys and initiates required changes in the assignment of keys to rooms.
- Approves requisitions and purchase orders for materials needed.
- Assists in the supervision of fire safety and implementation of programs.
- Prepares and submits payroll for the engineering department.
- Demonstrates safety, security and hospitality with the operation of Resort machinery.
- Possesses complete knowledge of the Resort facilities and functions.
- Schedules department personnel.
- Performs all other related duties as requested by the General Manager ms.
- Be able to multi-task and handle all maintenance issues.
- Always be neat in appearance with proper uniform required by the company.
Flexible schedule; weekends and holidays are required.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
