General Skills Required:
- Possess high level of safety awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.
- Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees.
- Inspects work for completeness.
- Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.
- Keeps timecards and other routine records through Kronos and SAP.
- Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
- Coordinates and inspects major contract work on the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all aspects of the facility.
- Minimize severity or frequency of accidents of contractors and maintenance personnel through risk identification process.
- Review weekly maintenance schedule.
- Address concerns with the Maintenance Coordinator and Manager.
- Complete maintenance jobs in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency.
- Streamline associated repair costs and job execution.
- Ensure prompt repairs by responding to emergency breakdowns.
- Supply reporting to the maintenance coordinator on repair jobs including consumption of tools, materials, man hours and skill.
- Review equipment history files.
- Ensure accurate recorded histories in work order completions.
- Report maintenance performance during major overhauls turn arounds, shutdowns and start-up.
- Develop and execute training plan for maintenance workers.
- Provide grievance counseling when required.
- Assign and reassign work as per emergencies and plant priorities.
- Make sure that maintenance jobs are in accordance with all corporate policies and legislated regulations.
- Promote communication as well as good relations between the production and the maintenance departments. Ensure housekeeping, productivity, and quality of work standards are maintained.
- Update inventories and other supplies as needed.
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
- Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School or GED. Eighteen months of education beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area
Experience:
- Two years’ experience at a minimum is required in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures, preferred for the experience to be in a fast production manufacturing environment.
- SAP PM experience a plus.
- Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background, drug screen.
- Must be available to work 12-hour day and night shifts, weekends, callouts.
