About the Job
AAMCI is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a 72-unit Section 8 community in Gastonia NC .
The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.
Full time Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm, with on call at premium rate. Pay up to $24.00 per hour.
This position participates in on-call emergency rotation for evening, weekends, and Holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out.
AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical problems
- HVAC
- Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components
- Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drill, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
- Turn units
- Painting
- Complete work orders
- Order parts as necessary
- Recording type and cost of repair work
Qualifications necessary for success:
- HVAC Certified
- Handyman
- Ability to adhere to work safety program
- Ability to perform all duties including but not limited to lifting, climbing, standing, bending, loading, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather
- Valid Driver's License
