Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift) - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 140k/year - Boston, MA
- Our client, one of the largest Metals Recyclers in North America, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Internally titled Non-ferrous Recovery Maintenance Supervisor) to oversee the day-to-day activities associated with the maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Non-Ferrous Recovery Projects & Personnel. This role will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment & assist the Health & Safety Manager with safety training.
- In this role, the Maintenance Supervisor will ensure that maintenance compliance is maintained according to stare and company regulations. Continuous process analysis and improvement is required to ensure maximum efficient metal recovery which is measured daily.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe work practices & equipment are always used & current with corporate policies, OSHA and other regulatory guidelines
- Oversees & Implements daily NF Recovery Preventative Maintenance and General Maintenance Plan
- Ensures all equipment is operated & maintained properly- Conveyors belting - splicing & patching, Inspecting rollers, air valves, sensors
- Determine scheduling for general maintenance and major projects to the NF Recovery Plant
- Reviews Daily Equipment Inspection Sheets (DEIs) Daily to Ensure Items noted are addressed and resolved
- Communicate recommendations, maintenance plans, issues and concerns directly to NF Recover Manager
- Purchases parts necessary to maintain proper functioning of the NF Recovery Plant
- Conducts Parts Inventory on a weekly basis and ensures that critical spare parts are on hand
- Develop relationships with outside vendors
- Monitors daily productions reports to continuously improve throughput, reduce costs/expenses
- Manages the work of direct reports to ensure optimal performance
- Interviews prospective employees
- Conducts performance reviews for direct reports
Qualifications:
- 2+ Years of Heavy Industrial Work Experience - Manufacturing, Mining, Construction
- Previous Experience as Supervisor or Manager, at least 2+ years
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude & knowledge of Manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of fabrication, tools, conveyor belts, valves, motors, sensors, maintenance of heavy equipment/parts, & repair
- Previous Exposure to working with a Union Environment is a Plus
- Interpret technical materials in books, manuals, etc
Compensation: For this role includes a base salary up to 140k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
