The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Central Region Highways & Aviation is looking for a Maintenance Specialist, Electrician, Journey 2/Lead to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
What you will be doing:
The main purpose of this position will be to maintain and inspect State of Alaska Department of Transportation owned electrical infrastructure and contribute to overall operational mission regarding maintaining safe roadways, airports, and pedestrian/bike routes. This includes maintaining, installing, and repairing various electrical components (traffic signals, airfield lighting, etc).

The working environment you can expect:
The Soldotna Station is located in beautiful Soldotna, Alaska. The Soldotna Maintenance Station is the main District office for the Peninsula. The Soldotna shop is made up of 9 operators who work cooperatively to operate and maintain State highways and roads. We are the “moving” in the DOT&PF mission to "Keep Alaska Moving through Service and Infrastructure!".
