The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Alaska Army National Guard Facilities is recruiting for a Maintenance Generalist / Electrician Journey 2-Lead!
This position is in the Labor, Trades, and Crafts (LTC) bargaining unit at a grade 51.
What You Will Be Doing:
The position plays an important role with the Division of Alaska Army National Guard Facilities, they will be responsible for performing all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on electrical, direct digital controls (DDC), security, and fire alarm systems. This position will also review all construction electrical specifications and blue prints, inspect work done by contractors and plan electrical upgrades for the Army National Guard.

Who We Are Looking For:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of preventive practices in hazardous electrical areas, procedures and practices for
discharging capacitors and proper grounding of conduits. - Ability to maintain, inspect, repair, adjust and install electrical systems.
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage.
systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc. and use appropriate
response. - Ability to troubleshoot and repair defective electronic/electrical equipment.
- Ability to work in an efficient manner, ensure adequacy of inventory, and recommend alternative solutions to problems.

If using a private vehicle this will require a valid Alaska Driver License, proof of vehicle insurance, and a valid State of Alaska vehicle registration.
