Summary
AIM World Services is seeking a Foreman to support the US Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP V) on Tinian Island. The Foreman will provide effective management of the administrative and technical aspects of the Project Vehicle Maintenance Program. The vehicle maintenance shop is responsible for overall management, operation, and maintenance of the Project's heavy construction equipment vehicle fleet. The Shop Foreman is accountable for heavy equipment vehicle assets, their safe, and efficient operation, and for environmentally sound maintenance best practices. The Shop will maintain commercial and special-purpose heavy equipment. Equipment is new and originally manufactured in Europe and Japan.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Directs work for Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanics and oversees maintenance shop facilities.
- Provides technical expertise in construction heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Performs required extremely complex repairs on equipment in the shop and in the field
- Directs work of Mechanic Staff and provides technical direction with work processes.
- Responsible for accomplishing corrective maintenance as outlined by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Participates with Management Team in the development of performance plans.
- Ensures work request priorities are completed.
- Adjusts task assignments as required to meet urgent needs.
- Monitors all in-progress work to ensure quality, timely completion, and control of material.
- Ensures compliance with, and practice of, security directives, safety standards, and best maintenance practices in all work areas.
- Ensures the disposal of hazardous material waste in accordance with all local and federal environmental standards and regulations.
- Ensures property accountability, and tool control.
- Provides guidance to Mechanics with regard to Project policies, and directives.
- Prepares and submits reports on the progress of all work projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, General Education Diploma, or equivalent formal education.
- 8 years' hands-on experience working in Heavy Construction Equipment Repair Shop.
- 2 years' leadership experience working in a Heavy Equipment Repair Shop.
- Must be an expert in automotive mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems evaluation, maintenance, and repair.
- Must have excellent Heavy Construction Equipment mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems fault isolation, and diagnostic skills.
- Requires knowledge of sound mechanical practices as applied to commercial and special-purpose equipment, such as Dump Trucks, Tipper Trucks, Water Trucks, Fuel Trucks, Sewage Trucks, Asphalt Distributor Trucks, Tractor/Trailer Rigs, Excavators, Loaders, Bulldozers, Pavers, Rollers, Graders, Skid steers, Material Transfer Vehicles, Mobile Cranes (up to 150K), Forklifts, Telehandlers.
- Ensures Maintenance Team understands and follows manufacturer's technical publications, schematics, and parts manuals.
- Must be able to work in all kinds of weather, including extreme heat and humidity.
- Directs the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to Heavy Construction Equipment maintenance.
- Interprets blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
- US Citizenship, valid US passport and valid US Driver's License required.
- Must be able to pass a background check, medical exam, and drug screen.
- Additional job-related ASE training and certification.
- Previous Military Non-Commissioned Officer experience in Heavy Construction Equipment maintenance.
- Licenses to operate support equipment such as Forklift and/or RTCH.
- US (any State) Class A or B Commercial Driver's License or corresponding US Territory Chauffeur's License with proper endorsements.
