GDC IT Solutions is seeking a hybrid Maintenance Programs Assistant for a based in Harrisburg, PA.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Fleet Management, Roadway Programs Management, Emergency Operations, and Budgeting. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate with Maintenance Programs Management: Regularly engage with the maintenance programs management team to ensure operational needs are met and develop solutions to resolve any issues that arise during maintenance operations.
Liaison Role Between Departments: Act as a key liaison between the Maintenance Programs team and other departments to facilitate the smooth coordination of projects. Track and forecast labor, equipment, and material needs to ensure efficient operations.
Assist with Budget Development and Review: Support the development and review of maintenance operating and capital budgets. Represent the Maintenance Department at executive capital plan meetings, ensuring alignment with department needs and strategic goals.
Support New Program Implementation: Assist in the creation of materials, training programs, and the implementation of new initiatives within the Maintenance Department.
Assist with Fleet Unit Operations and Staff Functions: Help plan and organize Maintenance Fleet unit operations, including the assignment of tasks and the review of work products to ensure quality and efficiency.
Support Equipment Disposal Processes: Assist with identifying surplus or obsolete equipment and making recommendations for the maintenance, disposal, and/or replacement of fleet assets.
Assist with Equipment Acquisition: Contribute to the equipment acquisition process, including developing specifications for new equipment, overseeing the acceptance and delivery of new equipment, and coordinating its distribution to field locations.
Ensure Compliance with Equipment Specifications: Assist with the processing and receipt of new equipment, ensuring that all equipment complies with specifications and required paperwork is completed.
Monitor Compliance with Regulations: Stay informed on federal and state regulations concerning the operation of vehicles and equipment, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Assist with Equipment Evaluation: Support the evaluation of existing, new, and experimental equipment to ensure performance meets operational needs.
Promote Safety Awareness: Use situational awareness to proactively anticipate and prevent accidents or safety issues in the workplace.
Perform Related Duties: Carry out other related duties as assigned to support the ongoing needs of the department.

- Must also have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
