Job Summary:
The primary function of Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to plan full cycle maintenance activities including just in time needs as well as preventative maintenance. The Planner/Scheduler is expected to identify, plan and coordinate activities for the Duininck Texas fleet. This position will report to the Reliability Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze electronic work requests input by field personnel, determine priorities based on specifics on the request.
- Input/Generate work orders based on priority designated.
- Identify and develop job steps to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Partner to identify if/when engineering/contractor support is needed for Duininck Texas fleet.
- Identify resource requirements needed to perform work orders such as parts, tooling, etc.
- Ability to manage technical info/sketches/drawings.
- Craft R&M procedures pertaining to day to day functions.
- Issue and allocate special tools and equipment for planned work – owned/purchased/rented.
- Partner with DTX shops in inventory control practices.
- Initiate store order for contractor services.
- Labor estimate – Number of craftsmen and estimated man-hours.
- Coordinate and source 3rd party emergency and non-emergency repairs with vendors.
- Perform pre-job/ post-job safety checks.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite including excel, word, ppt and outlook.
- Ability to work well with others and independently.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a high pace environment.
- Prior maintenance, logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to recognize patterns quickly to anticipate future needs of role.
- High attention to detail required.
- Prior knowledge of Planning/Scheduling programs.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Experience in vertical construction or maintenance strongly preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Ability to work minimally in outdoor/non-climate-controlled environments.
- Ability to work within an office environment.
- Ability to stand, and lift objects up to 50lbs.
- Less than 10% travel to job sites within Texas/Oklahoma.
