MAINTENANCE PLANNER
JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Planner’s core objective is maintenance program compliance oversight. The Maintenance Planner (MP) is the Lead accountable for all aircraft storage, preservation and maintenance requirements in accordance with the approved aircraft specific maintenance program for aircraft undergoing interior completion under Comlux America LLC (CAM) Repair Station 2CXR457B accomplished under the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority STC projects. The MP position is responsible for the scheduling, planning and tracking all long term maintenance programs for each aircraft completion project.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Track all long term maintenance programs for aircraft work and life limited parts on such aircraft.
2. Lookup and research Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for man-hours, tooling and equipment requirements.
3. Provide technical knowledge and logistical support to Maintenance personnel for active maintenance discrepancies, minimum equipment lists and configuration deviation lists.
4. Coordinate with Materials, Engineering, Inspection, and Document Control, providing current and continuing follow-up to ensure positive corrective action is made as promptly as possible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
5. Develop required tooling and equipment lists for customer work packages.
6. Assemble packages in a ready-to-work manner for the Document Control Center.
7. Interface with the Materials Department to coordinate parts requirements for incoming aircraft projects.
8. Maintain historical data for all completed and bid aircraft projects.
9. Provide project analysis and reports as required.
10. Schedule and develop storage for completed work packages.
11. Support in-process work packages to ensure any additions and corrections required are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
12. Compile reports in complete and orderly fashion.
13. Collect, assemble and distribute information for Service Difficulty Report Notifications and FAA Notifications.
14. Resolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge and analytical abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
- A and P (Airframe and Power Plant License) preferred.
- Mechanical Engineering Technology or Aviation Technology degree preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma, GED, or on the Job training and life experience will also be considered.
- Certifications such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or are a plus.
- 2-5 years related aircraft planning experience with emphases on long term maintenance for aircraft on ground with Boeing and Airbus experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Ability to multi task and remain focused on the major objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of Corridor a plus
- Strong PC user skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (including but not limited to MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Highly organized having the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with HR policies, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of parts planning and procurement.
- Ability to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical Engineering drawings
- Ability to read and understand technical data and specifications
- Detail Oriented
- Willingness to learn

The location where this position works is in an aircraft hangar environment which is subject to weather changes, constant exposure to loud noise, potential contact with hazardous waste material and other safety hazards such as aircraft, steps, interior components: divans, chairs, other cabinets etc.
