Job Description
A pioneer in the grating industry is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate planned and preventative maintenance activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in communication. With excellent organizational skills, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by ensuring timely maintenance scheduling and optimal parts availability while fostering collaboration with maintenance leads and operators.

Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position:Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Strategic purchasing other than steel.
- Maintain MP2 Planning Software.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Get multiple quotes on all sourcing.
- Work with Operations team & Engineering on equipment upgrades & design changes.
- Keep up with cost to stay within monthly budget.
- Maintain parts storeroom and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Ensure all parts are correct and available before issuing work orders.
- Act as an audit function to ensure proper parts are being ordered.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Ability to legally drive company pickup truck to pickup parts.
Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance experience
- Good working knowledge of all in-plant equipment, operations, and procedures
- Must have excellent written, oral communications, administrative, and data entry skills
- Must have excellent people and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Language Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software; Manufacturing software desired
